Jackson Encee
Jackson is a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic drum student here at Rock 101! He has a passion for playing the drums and continues to grow as a musician through his commitment to practicing and challenging himself. Jackson loves discovering new beats and experimenting with different rhythms, especially when it comes to transitioning from slow to fast tempos. One of his favorite things about music is hearing the singing come together with the drums, and he especially enjoys Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” thanks in part to its iconic music video!
Jackson always comes to his lessons prepared, practicing what he has been working on, and eager to show his progress. Although he may come across as shy at first, once he gets behind the drums, his personality and passion shine through! He enjoys working with Brandon and finds their lessons fun and inspiring. Jackson’s patience, determination, and willingness to try new things make every lesson both productive and exciting.
Brandon is continually impressed by Jackson’s drive to improve and his openness to exploring new musical ideas. He isn't afraid to step outside his comfort zone or push through challenging material. One of his recent accomplishments is performing a snare etude at 115 beats per minute with clean, even rhythms! Jackson continues to break barriers and build confidence behind the kit, and we are so excited to see where his musical journey takes him. Congratulations, Jackson, on being our Student of the Month!
