Is Band League Jr for You?

If you're a young musician aged 7-11 who is currently enrolled in one-on-one or group lessons at Rock 101 or has prior experience on an instrument, Band League Jr. is tailor-made for you. It's an opportunity to elevate your musical skills by playing in a band setting.

Important Note:
Band League Jr. is not for absolute beginners; some prior experience with an instrument is recommended.

FAQs

  • A: Band League Jr. operates on a monthly payment system. Participants must pay each month in advance, ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted learning experience for all young musicians. Payments will be conveniently set on autopay through our scheduling site, Opus1.

  • A: For missed classes, we provide a comprehensive review through a platform called LessonMate. Through LessonMate, your child can access detailed lesson notes, video resources, and other important announcements shared during the session they missed. We also provide a weekly recap email highlighting important information and dates throughout the semester.

  • A: Band League Jr. is open to young musicians aged 7-11 with at least some experience on their instrument. We welcome any young musician passionate about exploring music and eager to learn and collaborate—instruments: Guitar, bass, drums, piano, ukulele, vocals.

  • A: While it is recommended to bring your child's instruments if they have them, we also have a limited number of instruments available during the sessions. Please let us know in advance if your child requires any specific equipment. Rock 101 also has a Gear Rental Program where students can take home quality gear to use over the Band League Jr season.

  • A: YES! While joining at the beginning of the semester is generally recommended, we allow mid-semester enrollments.
