Summer Internship Program

Our mission at Rock 101 NM is to empower youth through music and to build a community of talented and professional musicians by providing exciting and engaging opportunities for our students to grow individually and as a part of a team.

 
 
 

Our Rock 101 interns are integral to the success of our Summer Sessions, helping us connect the dots, bridge the gaps, and bring an extra layer of excitement to our community of young musicians. We are looking for passionate musicians who can help us encourage and provide a positive example to our Young Guns.

Does this sound like you?

Rock 101 Intern Requirements:

  • Must be at least 15 years of age.

  • Proficient on an instrument (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano, Vocals).

  • Maintains a fun, energetic and respectful conduct.

  • Puts forth best effort in accomplishing Rock 101’s mission to empower Albuquerque youth (and the world) through music!

Intern Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Rock 101 Instructors with group and one-on-one music instruction.

  • Provide assistance to Young Gun bands both as a bandleader and as an accompanying bandmate.

  • Help Rock 101 instructors with day to day tasks (snack, games, set-up, tear-down, etc).

  • Make sure that EVERY musician has an incredible week of music and walks away with music knowledge, self-confidence, and new friendships!
