Student of the Month: April 2026 Edition
April is a month of fresh starts, and we’re feeling extra grateful to spotlight this month’s Student of the Month. Their dedication, growth, and creativity have brought new energy to our community—get ready to feel inspired!
Rowe Erickson
Rowe’s bass guitar origin story starts with one really good song. It was on a fateful day over a year ago when she was listening to “Feel Good Inc.” by Gorillaz and fell in love with the sound of the bass. She’s been taking bass lessons ever since!
Rowe loves how the bass guitar is the backbone of any song. She is inspired by how many different musical paths you can take with the bass. From jazz to metal, there is always something new to learn. For Rowe, music is an art form. It is a way for her to communicate her feelings and do what she wants. She is working towards writing her own music with edgy lyrics that listeners can find solace in.
Jabez is a huge fan of Rowe. Says Jabez: “She has been pushing her musical creativity, writing new bass lines with her knowledge of the minor and major scales. She also teaches herself new lines based on her curiosity. She has been a natural, playing bass with live drums with a great sense of rhythm and pocket.”
We can’t get enough of this resilient, caring, and edgy student! Can’t wait to watch her progress.
