At Rock 101, songwriting is an art form that deserves its own spotlight. Throughout the semester-long program, students will get the opportunity to meet weekly to nurture their passion for music in an atmosphere brimming with support and inspiration. We've assembled a team of seasoned musicians and award-winning songwriters to guide you. Dive headfirst into the world of musical exploration and learn the secrets behind crafting unforgettable melodies and compelling lyrics.

The creative process should be enjoyable! We'll organize songwriting challenges, group exercises, and jam sessions throughout the semester to keep the creative energy flowing.

  • A: The Songwriter's Collective operates on a monthly payment system. Participants are required to pay for each month in advance. This helps us ensure a consistent and uninterrupted learning experience for all songwriters. Payments will be set on autopay through our scheduling site, Opus1.

  • A: For any missed classes, we have a comprehensive platform called LessonMate. Through LessonMate, you can access detailed lesson notes, video resources, and other important announcements shared during the session you missed. This way, you can stay up to date and continue learning even if you can't make it to the class.

    Additionally, it's important to note that a portion of the fees paid for the Songwriter's Collective goes towards organizing various performances throughout the semester. These performances provide valuable opportunities to showcase your creations and gain real-world experience.

  • A: The Songwriter's Collective is open to songwriters of all skill levels and musical backgrounds. There are no specific prerequisites or requirements to join. We welcome anyone passionate about songwriting and wanting to learn and collaborate.

  • A: It is recommended to bring your instruments if you have them. However, we have a limited number of instruments available during the sessions. Please let us know in advance if you require any specific equipment.

  • A: While joining at the beginning of the semester is generally recommended, we allow mid-semester enrollments if spots are available. Please contact our support team for more information on joining mid-semester.

  • $144/month ($36/90min Class)
