What to Expect Each Week:

  • 60-minute group class

  • Guitar exploration, Music Theory 101, strumming techniques, repertoire building

Materials Needed:

Guitar:
Acoustic guitars are recommended, though participants may bring an electric guitar to play unplugged. If you need to rent a guitar, we can help you out > Rock 101’s Gear Rentals

Tuners:
Electronic tuners to ensure guitars are in tune. We will have some tuners for sale if you need one.

Guitar Picks:
Various sizes and thicknesses accommodate different playing styles.

Notebook or folder:
For compiling music and notes from week to week.

    • Sip & Strum is open to adults 21+ of all skill levels and backgrounds. There are no specific prerequisites or requirements to join. We welcome anyone passionate about learning and playing the guitar.

FAQs

  • A: Sip & Strum operates on a monthly payment system. Participants must pay each month in advance, ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted learning experience for all adult musicians. Payments will be set on autopay through our scheduling site, Opus1.

  • A: We provide a comprehensive weekly review through a platform called LessonMate. Through LessonMate, you can access detailed lesson notes, video resources, and other important announcements shared during the session you missed.

  • A: Sip & Strum is open to adults 21+ of all skill levels and backgrounds. There are no specific prerequisites or requirements to join. We welcome anyone passionate about learning and playing the guitar.

  • A: Participants should bring their own guitars, music stands, tuners, and picks. If you need to rent a guitar, we can help you out > Rock 101’s Gear Rentals.

  • A: YES! While joining at the beginning of the semester is generally recommended, we allow mid-semester enrollments.
